The X-Pert is the X-Pole with new and improved features!! The X-PERT is the world's first 'bottom loading', static and spinning dance pole. Designed with Professional Dancers and Pole Tricks in mind the X-PERT incorporates all the features required to meet the demands of the world's best. Bottom loading, no longer is a ladder needed for installation, the X-PERT uses X-Pole's unique adjuster system to expand and fully lock the pole in position, while the dancer stays firmly on the ground. No locking nut to come undone. The X-PERT also incorporates a special adjuster cover, which when in place creates a totally smooth pole from top to bottom. No sharp pole edge or screw adjuster to scrape arms and legs, no cover edges to hit, just smooth pole all the way. It even features a Micro Base for minimum contact. This is the first pole I have owned but I am pleasantly suprised. It is set up in my living room, and I used the mount for vaulted ceilings which is sold separately. This pole is sturdy. I have done spins on it, heavier friends have, and even my boyfriend, who weighs in at about 200 lbs, hopped on it (very briefly, and he is admitting to nothing). It hasn't come loose at all, and is SOLID. I'm glad we spent the money to get a really good one rather than go cheap and break a limb, or whatever happens when one of those things fall with me attached to it. It's been up for 2-3 weeks and so far I'm pleased. I'll updated if anything changes.

I had other poles but this one is one of the best ones. I really felt like it was stable and I did not have to drill any holes in my ceiling (had to with the other ones). It is pricey but if you do practice, it is worth it. A lot of studios I go to have X-Pole and it is one of the best poles. Chrome is easier to stick on than other types (other than Gold - that's stickier). I'm really satisfied with my pole. Just make sure you wipe it down with alcohol after each use.
Pros:
* Best pole in the industry
* Great grip
* Fits my 8'11 ceiling
* Has a carrying case when I move
* Stationary mode and spinning mode
* No need to drill any holes
Cons:
* Hard to put together and take apart (even with the instructions - my engineer friend put mine together)
Overall: I'm glad I bought it. I get to practice at home.

I have been on 4 poles and this one is the best one so far. It has an easy grip. It does take awhile to set up but is really sturdy. It does not come loose like the other poles I have used.
